Cost of Repair Service

Although service exchange transmissions offer the obvious benefit of an immediate return to service, they may not always be the most cost effective exchange route. 

By way of example the ZF transmission below only required the replacement of a damaged intermediate housing, so rather than buying an exchange transmission, the customer opted for a repair.  So less than 24 hours after receipt of the damaged transmission, a new housing has been fitted, saving the customer in excess of £2000.

No matter how limited the repair is, transmissions going through Powertrain’s workshops are automatically subjected to the same rigorous test cycle as that of a fully overhauled unit.
